There are two different ways.
Technology can make us more brilliant if we use it only to help us with specific activities, like online research, to create better content quickly. Or it can make us dumber if we generate whole articles without adding any additional and unique insights.
Is technology destroying creativity?
Technology destroying creativity… if we use it foolishly.
Many people contemplate using technology to be relieved entirely of something, which is a wrong approach.
For instance, innovative technologies can help us generate product descriptions or whole articles. Does this mean that with ChatGPT’s help, I can finish my work faster than others?
Aiming at mediocrity, the answer will sound like yes.
But… if your goal is to be better than competitors (not faster, but better in a given field), you should use technology differently.
How?
For instance, five years ago, I could create product descriptions of up to 500 words in half an hour. Now, I can provide a brief to ChatGPT and generate the same content in just 2 minutes.
How can I use the saved time? By polishing my product description as well.
Now, I have the chance to do so.
A few years ago, without any technology, I could create it from scratch and polish it… if I had time for this activity.
Now… I can guarantee my customers another quality… better quality – because I don’t waste time on the creation process. Now, I have time for the polishing process, which is more beneficial.
Feel the difference?
So, you have two options:
- safe the time, which is guaranteed by innovative technologies
- or… use it properly by polishing your product description.
I used a product description example because I work as a copywriter, but I’m truly certain that you can transfer this example to any industry in your life.
